The Limousin is a region in the middle of France which is typified by rolling pastures, woodland and lakes.  The woods are mostly chestnut and oak.

The unspoilt countryside is dotted with charming stone houses and farms, and the land is grazed by sheep and the beautiful glossy chestnut-coloured limousin cattle, renowned for their outstanding beef.
